I am an expert in evaluating and treating survivors of trauma and intergenerational trauma. I have specialized in treating trauma since I began my career in 1982. Working in residential treatment facilities and day schools with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents and their families for the first twelve years of my career allowed me to learn intimately about the pain and symptoms that come with exposure to traumatic experiences. I was also a committed volunteer at the Marjorie Kovler Center for Survivors of Political Torture for over 25 years where I served as a supervisor to clinical interns, an evaluator and expert witness for those seeking asylum and a therapist for survivors of torture. I have also worked in hospice and helped individuals and families with bereavement.

In my private practice, I work with adults who have experienced trauma and suffer from dissociation and other acute symptoms. I also specialize in working with patients who have lost a parent or partner, survivors of incest and domestic abuse and those recovering from illness and accidents.
